At Kindness Ranch, we are dedicated to providing a peaceful retreat for those seeking healing and rejuvenation. Our mission is to promote wellness through nature and community connection.
“We were drawn to this land by a profound sense of purpose, a calling to restore the connection between humanity and the natural world. We envisioned the Kindness Ranch as more than just a place — it is a sanctuary where the threads of life, often frayed by the demands of modern existence, could be rewoven with care.
Here, the harmony of the earth, the sky, and all living things serves as a gentle reminder of the interconnected fabric of life, with kindness as its unifying thread. For our family, this land embodies a vision of reconnection, where others can pause, reflect, and rediscover their place within the beautiful, universal design of nature and humanity.”
-The Afshar Family
The Afshar family purchased the property in November 2023, naming it Kindness Ranch. Now a working ranch with over 200 head of cattle, its official livestock brand is “AA”. As a result, the ranch is sometimes referred to as “AA Kindness Ranch.”
The property spans just under 100 acres and is adjacent to over 20,000 acres of BLM land, bordered by the Black Canyon Trail and cut through by the Agua Frio River.
The Black Canyon Trail, an 80-mile National Recreation Trail, offers mountain bikers a long-range backcountry riding experience. This historic trail holds national significance, as it follows route once traveled by Native American traders and travelers.
